Privacy

A small, static website

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, described below. It has no advertising scripts or externally loaded fonts. Visiting a project’s external links takes you to that site, where its own privacy practices apply.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver and protect the site; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how often pages are viewed, which websites refer visitors here when that information is available, and how well pages load. Its browser script sends usage and performance measurements to Cloudflare. Reports include page paths, referrers, browser/device information and country-level breakdowns.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage, fingerprint individuals, or track people across its customers’ websites. These statements apply to Web Analytics; Cloudflare also processes requests as our hosting and security provider, as described above.

Contact

The contact link opens Google Forms. Google’s form is not embedded here, so visiting this site does not load Google Forms scripts.

If you send a message, Google stores your email address, message and any name you provide in Doug’s Google Workspace account. Doug uses these details to read and respond to your enquiry. Responses are not published or shared with other respondents, and sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles information on its services.

Email updates

The newsletter signup link opens a form hosted by Kit. It is not embedded here, so visiting this website does not load Kit’s signup scripts.

If you subscribe, Kit stores your email address, selected interests and subscription records for Doug to send the updates you choose. You need to confirm your email before receiving newsletter updates, and each email includes links to unsubscribe or change your topic preferences. Doug does not sell the mailing list or add contact-form respondents to it.

Kit processes technical information to operate its forms and deliver emails. Its email reporting can record opens through tracking pixels and clicks through tracked links, associated with your subscription. Kit’s additional options for adding subscriber IDs, hashed email addresses and UTM parameters to email links are switched off, as are Creator Network recommendations. This newsletter service is separate from the cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics described above.
